Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Jayz Landscaping & Snow Removal (“Jayz”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We operate in compliance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Alberta privacy law.
1. Information We Collect
Booking & service information. When you book online or contact dispatch, we collect your name, email address, phone number, service address, property type, selected service and plan, scheduling preferences, and any notes or access instructions you provide.
Payment information. If you pay online, your card details are processed by our secure payment provider. We do not store full card numbers or CVC codes on our systems. For “pay after service” bookings, we collect payment at the time of service.
Communications. We keep a record of phone calls, emails, SMS messages, and chat conversations with our dispatch team so we can provide reliable, continuous service.
Site & usage data. Like most websites, we collect basic technical data such as device type, browser, and pages visited through cookies and tracking tools to improve our website and route operations.
2. SMS & A2P Messaging Consent
By providing your phone number and booking a service, you consent to receive appointment-related, dispatch, and service-update text messages from Jayz using an application-to-person (A2P) messaging system. Message frequency varies based on your active service schedule (typically arrival notices, completion confirmations, and storm-alert notifications).
Opt out. You may unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any message. Messaging and data rates may apply from your carrier. We do not share your number for marketing without your consent, and we will not sell your information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, perform, and confirm property care and snow removal services.
- To send arrival notices, completion photos, and storm-alert dispatch updates by SMS and email.
- To process payments and issue receipts, available in your “My Receipts” portal.
- To plan efficient crew routing and apply eligible Neighbourhood Rate discounts.
- To respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and support commercial RFP requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and insurance/WCB requirements.
4. How We Share Information
We share your information only as needed to deliver services: with crew members and subcontractors performing work on your property, our payment processor, our booking and CRM provider, and our SMS/messaging provider. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property. We never sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention & Security
We retain booking and service records for as long as you have an active account or as needed to provide services, comply with legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent for SMS messaging at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for property owners and managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated revision date. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the website or by direct message where practical.
